Catholic Youth Camp (CYC) is a week-long summer camp experience designed to help young hearts grow in faith, friendship, and confidence. Since 2010, CYC has been serving families in the Diocese of Fort Wayne–South Bend, offering a joyful and Christ-centered environment for children at a formative age.
Founded by Dave and Jan Torma, CYC was created out of a desire to give kids a place where faith is not just taught—but lived. From prayer and the sacraments to outdoor adventure and teamwork, every part of camp is intentionally rooted in the Catholic faith.
CYC is firmly anchored in the Holy Spirit, the sacraments, and Sacred Scripture. Campers participate in daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, prayer, and uplifting music, helping them encounter Christ in a real and age-appropriate way. Our goal is to help campers deepen their relationship with God while discovering that the Catholic faith is joyful, meaningful, and alive.
Each day at CYC blends faith formation with classic summer camp fun. Campers enjoy a wide range of activities, including:
•Daily Mass •Flags •Swimming •Canoeing •Kayaking •Crafts •Obstacle Course •Fishing
•Archery •Campfires •Hiking •Soccer •Zip Line •Climbing Wall •Confession •Eucharistic Adoration
These activities are designed to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and create lasting friendships—all in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
Catholic Youth Camp is open to incoming 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys and girls. Whether a child is deeply involved in parish life or just beginning to explore their faith, CYC welcomes all with open arms.
At CYC, campers don’t just make memories—they grow in faith, character, and joy that lasts well beyond the summer.
Campers are grouped by grade level and are accompanied by two (2) counselors who provide guidance, supervision, and support throughout daily activities and faith formation.
Catholic Youth Camp is sponsored by St. Jude Parish (SB), Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish (Lakeville), and St. Vincent de Paul Parish (FW) and operates with full diocesan approval. All camp staff are Safe Environment certified, and the camp follows all diocesan protocols regarding overnight arrangements, medications, and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and well-supervised experience for every camper.
